Soccer player survives Sudden Cardiac Arrest

The collapse of Fabrice Muamba, the Bolton Wanderers player, during a recent FA-Cup quarter-final, has stunned both fans and fellow footballers. You can read about it here .

Muamba is a 23 year old extremely fit young man, the last person you would expect to drop of cardiac arrest. The good news is Muamba survived and is making a miraculous recovery! Muamba was in cardiac arrest for 78 minutes. During that time CPR was performed and he was shocked with a defibrillator 15 times! We tell our students in each class that every situation is unique with its own set of unique circumstances. Do the best you can for as long you can. There are stories of people beating the odds every day.

As is often the case following tragic events like this a panel is being formed to study cardiac arrest cases in soccer.

Our YouTube channel is a great way to quickly learn about our company. There you will find our promotional video but you will also find a number of testimonials from a sampling of our customers.

In short, we are a safety training company. We provide the basics like CPR, AED and Basic First Aid training and sell and service the Zoll AED Plus. 11 year old Heimlich Hero saves his friends life!

Great story about a boy using what he was taught to say his friends life.

By the far the most common stories we hear back from people we have trained involve the use of the Heimlich. We sometimes hear several accounts a week of people saving individuals that are choking. Hearing these stories is the most rewarding part of what we do and we love hearing them! Send us your stories and we will gladly publish them here.

Here is an article that ran yesterday in the Erie Times-News. The article is about my late brother Kyle who died of sudden cardiac arrest 10 years ago. The article states that I began selling AED’s after my brother passed but I actually had already owned Cardiac Care & Safety, Inc. for 3 years when this happened. I already had a passion for this work but that passion was fueled after Kyle’s passing.
